The directors of Acquisition Aesthetics recently had the honour of hosting the 2021 Aesthetics United Charity Conference at the Hotel Sofitel London. Dr Lara Watson and Dr Priyanka Chadha, founders of Acquisition Aesthetics and Aesthetics United, brought together industry leaders on Saturday 20th November for this exciting event, with a schedule that included pioneering lectures and collaborative workshops. Concluding with a highly anticipated prize draw aided by generous sponsors and donors, the conference succeeded in raising significant funds for Refuge UK and NHS Charities Together.
The AUCC
Aesthetics United is a non-profit organisation built on the pledge to give back to the community, inspired by the overwhelming feeling of goodwill felt across the country in response to the pandemic. The charity is committed to uniting leaders and creating a supportive environment for existing and aspiring aestheticians to learn from one another and grow. More importantly, the opportunity to raise funds for two important charities close to the hearts of our founders and many others in the industry was the driving force behind the organisation’s inception.
Uniting industry leaders
The 2021 AUCC saw thought leaders in the industry join forces to create an educational and inspirational event for our peers within the aesthetics community. An impressive lineup of accomplished experts took to the stage at the aesthetics event to deliver lectures, workshops and seminars on the sector, offering an extraordinary learning experience for current and aspiring aestheticians.
A few of the highlights included:
- Speed Dating With the Experts – A unique opportunity to gain 1-2-1 advice from a panel of industry leaders. Attendees were invited to present their aesthetics practice business model and strategy to the panel, who in turn provided personalised marketing, finance and patient management guidance.
- The Main Stage – A variety of thought-leading and educational talks held by accomplished medical professionals, including deep dives into techniques for lip augmentation and non-surgical rhinoplasty and guidance on delivering the perfect first patient consultation.
- The Workshop Stage – Rising stars in the industry had the opportunity to share their work and ideas on aesthetic medicine, with specialised sponsored case studies included in the sessions.
- The New World Stage – A spotlight on the evolution of the aesthetics industry, with an increasing focus on technology, including the rise of the social media influencer and how the market is adapting to an ever-changing audience.
Supporting two amazing charities
The primary catalyst for the conference was a desire to support charitable causes that contribute so significantly to our society. These two charities have served as a lifeline to many individuals and families throughout the country. They have received recognition for their notable impact during the unprecedented challenges of the past 18 months.
- NHS Charities Together is a collective experience that champions the efforts of the various official NHS charities, providing £1 million a day in vital funding to support our incredible health service.
- Refuge provides life-changing services to confront domestic violence and violence against women and girls, committed to freeing vulnerable individuals from violence and fear.
The support for the AUCC’s chosen charities was made possible by the generosity of generous sponsors and exhibitors, who contributed a variety of fantastic prices. All proceeds from the raffle were donated directly to Refuge UK and NHS Charities Together.
AUCC to return next autumn
Following the massive success of this year’s conference, the AUCC will return to the same location on Saturday 19th November 2022. The team at Acquisition Aesthetics look forward to attending the next conference and extending the community of support with our peers in aesthetic medicine.
